Questions about Simon's private parts! OK first let me give you a laugh then I'll ask my concerns. Simon has a snugglepuppy we have named Molly. Well Simon likes Molly a lot just about every night. So after the past few days I thought something might be wrong with his peepee so I put Molly up in my rocking chair on top of some blankets b/c Simon never gets in that chair. Well a few minutes ago I heard something weird. Yep, Simon was on top of the pile of blankets humping Molly and the rocking chair was moving really fast. He fell off the chair before I could get to him. Anyway, I noticed yesterday that he was licking himself more than normal and a little bit of his peepee was showing. He wouldn't lay on his belly and kind of acted like it hurt. Today I gave him a bath and he flinched when I went to wash that area. Do you think he might just be sore or could it be an infection? |
ROFL It may be because it's sore AND it may have an infection. If you pull back the skin near the tip, do you notice any real quantity of discharge? A little can be normal...and yes, most times it has a slightly green hue to it. Personally, I wouldn't worry unless you see some swelling or redness and warmer to the touch than normal. Yeah, you're gonna have to do that. He may have simply rubbed it raw and you might want to consider switching Molly out for a different girl w/ more suitable (less friction) fabric...if there is to still be a "Molly" in his life that is. ;) |
Someone else had a similar problem like this a few weeks ago, but I think their little guy had some bleeding going on down there. I think she took him to the doctor and he was just fine, just needed a break from his humpy toy. Maybe you should put Molly far out of Simon's reach for a few days and see if his peepee sensitivity calms down a bit. Maybe when he 'humped and bumped' off the chair it got irritated. Keep us in the know! |
HMMMMMM??? I think he just may have some soreness from the friction. I think I agree having him take a break from his Molly girl and see how he is the next day or so. Poor SImon..... I wish I could be of more help! |
Little Simon needs to give Molly a break and his little soreness will go away - he FELL off the chair while doing the wild thang ?? That's some serious humping and too funny ! Cheri says "Oh Simon - Even though it's a humpy toy ...it's still considered CHEATING"::D :D :D but she loves you so much you're forgiven |
Yea, he fell off the chair! It was hilarious!!! I have put Molly away and Simon is whining for her :( I feel bad but I told him he needed to "rest" until he could be a better boyfriend! He seems to be doing better though so I think he was just sore. I can only imagine how Molly feels! |
oh my!! :yelrotflm |
:sidesplt: LOL! Oh Simon you stud! |
I'm sorry...I know it's not funny cause he's feeling a little sore, but I can just picture him falling off of the chair while gettin in on w/Molly. Guess now you're just going to have to distract him with his soccer ball!! |
what a little playboy!! I'm glad he is ok. |
You shouldn't let him hump Molly - and should discourage it. In fact, you should get rid of Molly and any other toy that he humps. This certainly could be causing a lot of irritation - And - I don't know about you - but I see nothing cute about my little guys humping anything. I have always stopped it and discouraged it immediately. I read that a lot of people think this is cute and funny. I don't feel this way at all - and, in fact, at times, when you have company or are out in public, it can be embarrassing -- if not for you, for the people around you. I always discouraged humping - and, even though, I didn't get my dog neutered until he was almost a year old - he never humps anything. I think he's been stopped so many times - that he just gave up and has forgotten that he can do it. Good luck! Carol Jean |
I thought "humping" was a natural behavior. Am I wrong about that? |

i can as well picture him going at it and falling off the chair thats cute, i think its nature, even if we think it isnt appropriet doggies are doggies no matter what .... let us know any updates i love this thread ^_^ i hope he gets better |
Max who is over 2 years old and neutered since he was 6 months old just started licking himself constantly and then his peepee does come out so then he keeps licking & licking. Is this normal or do you think he has and infection or something? |

Better safe than sorry! Does he seem to have trouble urinating? I would maybe call your vet and ask just to be sure. Especially if it's a new action. |

It is a behavior that can be discouraged. Just scold him when you catch him doing it. I would probably even crack a newspaper loudly or use the can with pennies. |

It is not a natural behavior, in fact in the wild, only the top male would mate, the rest, even though they are in tact, would not be allowed to. You just need to act as the alpha dog and put a stop to it. What if you had a large breed, would you allow it from them? |

Actually its like its out all the time anymore and he is neutered and so are my two females?? |
Does Simon know you're on here asking everyone about his 'private parts'? ;) Seriously though...I hope he's o.k. |
It's thought of as "cute" to some because our dogs are so little but true...I'd hate to see a Great Dane getting it on with a couch arm. It can also be a dominance thing. My mom's spayed female Maltese, Lily, has her humpy care-bear that she loves dearly. But, be careful how often and how much Simon's allowed to play with Molly. Wasn't it just recently someone posted about how their yorkie threw his back out from humping too much and the yorkie was in pain.:( |
Okay, had to cover Ginger's eyes before I read this post! Poor Simon, all his secrets right out here in the open!:D Glad to hear he seems okay after all that. |
