canned food Hello everyone! I have been lurking for a few days now and thought I would say hi and ask a question. I have 10 1/2 year old yorkie named Romeo. He acctually lives with my parents as he attached himself to them. We got him when he is 2 years old. He has had some health issues mainly trouble pooping or he gets bloody diarreah.. The diarreah has not happened in a long time. We had to stop giving him carrots because of too much fiber. He really does not like his dry doog food. We have tried many differnt kinds. He is now having trouble eating the dry. He likes the canned food, and has no trouble eating it. Can we feed him only canned or is that bad? What kind of canned would you reccomend for a Yorkie? He is also bigger than most yorkies he weighs 9-10 lbs and is not fat by anymeans. He is neutered. If I can find a pic I will post one. Im sure this question has been asked before, but I couldn't find exactly what I am looking for. Thank You so much for your help! Nikki and Romeo |
Welcome to Yorkietalk, Romeo! Since canned food lacks a lot of nutrients that dry food contains, I would suggest you mix the two together. Otis likes Royal Canin mixed occassionally with Cesar's. I have learned that many other Yorkies here love the taste of Royal Canin. Hope that helps! |
