please pray for miss daisy she is seeing a specialist at the vet teaching hospital in boston today for a consult about her nasal discharge. my vet believes it is probably not allergies since anti histamines didnt resolve it but possibly a nasal tumor (very bad) or a fungal infection ( treatable but a pain). i keep hoping maybe its still allergies but the poor girl had such a tough night with her breathing. im so scared. everyones thoughts and prayes will be very much appreciated today. thanks sara and miss daisy and her brother bentley and sister jenny |
Prayers going up right now! I'm sorry that she's not well:( |
Oh We are keeping her in our prayer tonight I hope all goes well. |
:hands: :hands: :hands: for Miss Daisy. |
cautiously good news? thanks for everyones prayers they worked. the specialist believes that the most likely cause of miss daisys nasal discharge is soem nasty allergy causing a chronic immflamation (rhinitis). this wont be confirmed until she has a CT scan to rule out a mass or fungal infection. he believes it is very unlikey to be cancerous since her symptoms have remained the same and or progessed or worsened. she is ona powerful anti biotic t is a bacterial infection (doubtful but doesnt hurt to attempt). she will be scheduled for a CT & nasal biopsy in the next 2 weeks afetr she sees a cardiologist for an echocardiogram to evaluate her heart murmue ( only grade 2 but vet wants to be on safe side esp considering she has a liver shunt too) so i am feeling cautiously hopeful and very Thankful on Thanksgiving Day for all of you awesome yokietalk members for remebering us in youur prayers! Happy Thanksgiving! Sara & Miss Daisy |
Well I am glad that the doctor seems hopeful that is nothing too serious. I am praying for your little one and hope that the new meds will help to ease the pain she may be in. Please keep us updated on how things go for her...prayers are being send your way!! |
