Shaking/Strange noise Last night my bf and I were at his parent's house for dinner. They have a 4 year old, 5.5 pound male yorkie. Before dinner had started I noticed he was making strange noises...I don't think trying to clear his throat is the best way to describe it, but for now thats all I can think of. Then during dinner he was sitting under my chair and all of a sudden it seemed as if something startled him, then he began shaking. He was shaking for probably 3-5 minutes. I thought I'd ask your advise as to what you think it is... He has, for years, worn a collar. When I got Kona and Bernie I tried to explain to them that even if he doesn't pull during walks, he should still wear a harness during his walks. Do you think those sounds could be from a collapsing trachea? |
Awww, poor little guy! It's hard to say without actually hearing the noises, but he could very well have CT:( Only way to tell for sure is a vet visit, and even then, if they don't make the noises at the vets, they can't tell. I hope he's okay:heart: Tracy and Luna:aimeeyork |
I met a yorkie with CT at the park. It almost sounded like a honk. It was a very strange, loud and startling noise. |
Reverse sneezing? I'm hoping it is just reverse sneezing. Pepper (childhood Yorkie) had this condition, but she was totally fine, she just couldn't walk stairs. But of course you should consult with your vet as others suggested. |
