Why is "Sunflower Oil" bad in dog food? I was recently reading in a thread that dog foods with sunflower oil is not good for your dogs. I was wondering how so and just how bad is it? I feed Natural Choice Nutro Lamb & Rice btw. |
I thought it was the opposite! Sunflower oil contains Omega fatty acids, which help to promote a healthy skin and coat. (If I'm wrong, please correct me... But I've never heard anything bad about it) |
i think the nutro is a good food to feed.... jmo |
Just a quick bump.. Is sunflower oil in their food really bad for dogs? |
Nobody knows? |

the only thing i could find doing a search was about how its supposed to have alot of benefits. sunflower oil is in just about all of the best types of food... i really don't think its anything to worry about. i couldn't find anything bad. Sunflower Oil - Rich in linoleic acid (Omega 6) that helps to produce a healthy skin & coat. |
