I prefer Royal Canine. My Tuckers coat was a lot more managable and much shinier when he was eatting it. The only problem was he would itch sometimes:thumbdown |

If you feel the need to give kibble, give meat in the AM and kibble in the PM (or vice versa). |
yorkie diet so i should feed him kibble in the morning and raw at night? or vice versa ? i do not know why the vet never told me that. do you think the raw is the best for the yorkies? thats what the vet said, so i bought the raw. i was just feeding him merrick dry and merrick canned, but he was making quite a few poops during the day. now with raw and dry his poops are firm and hard, and not huge. thanks for helping me elle57 |

what i feed my yorkie hi, i was mixing the dry kibble ( merrick) and the natures variety raw prairie together , but i was told it is very bad to do that. so now what i do, is feed him the dry merrick kibble in the morning and the natures variety raw prairie in the evening. i feed him 3 medallions in the evening. they say it is enough , but i think he could eat 10 of them. he enhales them so fast, i now have to feed him by hand , so he can take his time. my vet told me if i do not want to see him alot, to feed him the raw. i would like to get him on raw totally, but i am not sure it is good for him to just be on that and also they say 3 medallions total for the day. so what would i do, just give him 3 and thats it, what about the other meal? if you or anyone else has any info on this matter please feel free to give me advice. this is my first yorkie and he is the most adorable little guy ever. i did not even get him as a pup, i bought him at 14 months. he is wonderful ! thanks elle |
elle... I'm sending you a PM.... |
I personally would not feed either. I only feed my yorkies foods that come off this list, which are foods from the Dog Food Reviews website that received 5 stars. The foods that received 6 stars are too high in protein for our little dogs. I would not feed my yorkies any food that had a protein content above 30%. |
