This is what she has been eating for the past week. I started adding the milk because she seemed to be having a hard time going poop, so I thought adding some liquid to her food would help that. This morning, she had two soft poops - the norm for her - and one small poop that was softer than usual, and had some clear mucus with flecks of blood in it. :( The blood wasn't in the poop itself, it was in the mucus with the poop. My question is this: Is the mucus and blood because of the milk in her food? When I got this girl, she was in pretty bad shape, the owner had given Summerlin to her stepdaughter at 6 weeks, went to visit her step daughter weekend before last and realized that the baby wasn't being cared for properly. So for three weeks she was with a less than stellar caretaker. I knew that she had some problems, but I thought it would be mostly emotional and visual - you know, fleas, matted hair, etc. Does anyone have any idea what to do about the mucus with flecks of blood? Thanks... |
