Another Stupid Question!! Okay Izzie was doing so good this morning and today and was eating a little of her kibble. She has thrown up 4 or 5 times in the last hour and is now resting. I'm going to give her the boiled chicken and rice, but here is the stupid question.....how long do you boil chicken? I put in one boneless chicken breast cut up in strips...how long...just till the pink is completely gone or what? I've never boiled chicken... |
Yep that's right:) |

Thank you so much and for being so quick. She's not really interested so I'm on my way to get some more Nutri-cal. |
She's not wanting it...can I put a tiny bit of broth on it? |
I have a picky eater who, I boiled chicken for...I would use chicken broth on her kibbles to entise her to eat,.....didn't work but, that is Sadie...Little Izzy might love it! I also boil the chicken with a boullion cube or 2 depending on how much chicken I have..has alot of salt in it Good Luck! |
Buy some Cesar soft food packs.....my dogs go crazy for them. If sick or picky....they will surely not deny Cesar. It has a little white maltese dog drawn on it. Quote:

The tiny bit of broth did the trick. She ate the boiled chicken and rice last night after I gave her a little Nutri-cal and this morning she is eating her regular food. Drinking water and so far this morning back to normal. Keeping my fingers crossed she stays this way all day. Thanks everyone. |

Thanks....she not only acts better, she looks better. I'm just so thrilled she is eating well again. What a little trooper she is.:) |
Glad to hear the broth worked and she is getting well...Isn't this the little girl you have up for adoption? |
I'm glad she's doing better!! |

Me and My Mom just keep calling each other and talking about Izzie! Janet, I am so glad Izzie is feeling better. Roxy and TJ both had to stay the night after their spay/neuter. So, the whole next day they also felt crappy, but by day 3, they were really back to their normal selves. Sounds like Izzie is getting back too! |
So glad to hear she's better. |
All day today Izzie has been back to normal. Of course she doesn't understand that we won't let her run or jump up on things. It's so funny because I would stop her from jumping on the couch or footstool so she has been coming to me and just looking up at me like "okay, I'm ready to get up now" so I'll pick her up. She is just too cute for her own good. She's eating and drinking just fine too. I am just so in awe of this tiny little thing. Such a sweetheart!!! :) |
