Ty Cant Eat Until You Guys Give Me An Anwser......
 

Sorry had to get your guys attn..............I need to moisten Tys food with something, and I want to do it with something other then water..............I come to you guys with all my questions and your advice never fails me,any food info will help, but I really need to know what I can put on his dry puppy food, I wrote another thread with a bit more info and such, however the PC ate it and I have to go to work.........so sorry to keep it so short and to the point

Thanks.............I had heard tht before but I wasnt sure if it was OK to give.....and one more question.............? Is it OK to give him a bit of boiled chikcen and plain whit rice???? He went to the vet yesterday and got a check up and shots and we promised him a feast, because he was such a good boy.........so any help info will do........THANK YOU GUYS

Yes that is fine. I make that for mine occasionally too. I am sure he will love his feast

my vet told me cooked hamburger, cottage cheese and white rice. Joey would eat it if I dropped it on the floor.:) But not out of the bowl

I have heard if the cooked hamburger suggested before. I wonder though about hamburger being too fatty. I would be afraid Mine would get runny poo.

We were told by our vet that we could use baby food (chicken & gravy or beef & gravy). Never tried it because she started eating. Good luck.

My dog won't eat out of his bowl at all he wants it on the rug!

That must be common among yorkies - my baby also prefers to eat from the floor, rug or a dinner plate - but never from his own bowl. He especially likes when we drop food onto the floor - he thinks he's getting away with something, when really it's just a trick to get him to eat!

I think you're right. My Tika brings her food to her bed and eats it there. With such little legs, I would think it would be alot of work going back and forth with each kibble :) My daughter's Yorkie does the same thing, he brings his food to his blanket instead of eating from his the bowl.

Reminds me of lillian lol she hates her bowl so much that she picks up little piece of kibble walks about 3 feet away and chews on that when shes done she goes back for another piece lol

Oh yes, my Yorkie doesn't eat from the bowl either. He has to think someone is going to steal his bowl before he will grab a bite straight from it. I've put things in his bowl before to have him sniff it and walk away. When I put it on the floor two seconds later, he wanted it bad! He also drags each little bite out of his bowl and lays it beside the bowl before he eats it. So much for clean floors. :)

Glad to know I am not alone with our fur baby's NOT eating out of the bowl! Grayson is a silly boy but now I know he is not alone:lol tears

Thats so funny, I didnt know it was so common. My boy Pete is 1.5yrs and since the day I brought him home he takes mouthfulls out of the bowl, brings it to the middle of the living room, drops it all onto the ground and proceeds to eat bit by bit.:animal36

I have 2 Yorkies... one gobbles and the other is a picker. I do have good luck with Royal Canin Yorkshire Food. I mix it with 1/2 tablespoon of canned Eukabana and then warm it for 6 seconds in the microwave. After "tossing" the mixture they eat it. Of course.... it must be given to them when both my husband and I are in the room or they won't eat it. Also the words ... "Who is hungry?" must precede serving .... or they look at you funny. ALSO.... does anyone have Yorkies that must have their favorite toy laying next to the food bowl while they eat? Mine won't eat without their toys! :D

For some reason I cant find the Royal C for Yorkie puppy, my Petsmart does not carry it, and I really want him to have it, so in the meantime I got him NUTRO-Natural Choice and when we first gave it to him he seemed OK with it, and then the past week he has just turned his nose up to it but we can tell he is hungry because he goes tohis bowl and looks and smells and will eat one bite and just walks away. So today me and Ty just got back from Petsmart still no Royal so I got him this puppy soft pureed chiken, lamb and oatmeal canned food and came home and mixed a tiny bit with hhis dry NUTRO and I wasnt sure if I was going to be able to wash the bowl after he was done eating he just kept licking licking and licking it, HE FINALLY ATE SOMETHING and at least it wasnt a treat.......I guess I should have thought of this a bit sooner, poor Ty............NUTRO also makes like 3 different deserts so I got him one to try it was pumpkin spice cake.......to keep with the season and he ate like 2bites, it comes in a can and smells just like spice cake, sure cant tell you what it tastes like, but after 2 licks he walked away, proably because it is sweeter then anything he has ever had......I am leavig it there for awhile to see if he comes back to it, but I am just soooooooooo happy I found something he likes...........he is in heaven today, full belly, hanging out with dad, on his BUCS blanket with is big soft football him and dad play when commericals come on.....the BUCS proably wont win but at least they are playing a litle bit better, so dad and Ty are having a great SUNDAY..........thanks again to all you guys with the info I am going to go get the baby food just in case............you guys are great

Mine doesn't have to have the toys beside the bowl... but what you said about you guys having to be in the room rang a bell. My DUke will not eat unless someone is with him. If we're gone all day, he won't touch his food or his treats. He doesn't care about the water though... that stays in the kitchen and he's fine with it.

The hamburger has to be the leanest you can find and you boil it

If you feed hamburger, buy the lean variety and boil it instead of frying and then most of the grease goes out with the water.
