New to Forum & Need Advice...Felt a Lump Hi Everyone, I have had my little boy Yorkie for 3 years now, "Harry", and I just felt a smooth lump on his upper left side. It is in the middle of his back, two inches to the bottom left of his spine... :( It is stationary and he doesn't show discomfort at all when I press on it. Does anyone know of their Yorkies getting Lipomas or any masses in this area? He is so young... I have an appt. for tomorrow morning with his vet, but I am nervous all the same. He is overweight and I am desperately trying to reduce his food without him feeling hungry. My mom, who is an avid dog lover, said it sounds like a "fatty tumor". If anyone can help me or ease my worries tonight, I would be happy to hear from you. He is eating normally and shows no signs of illness. I am just curious if this is common even amongst Yorkies? Thanks everyone, Jenn :) |
Welcome to YT! I can't help you on this one, I don't know anything about tumors in yorkies. I'm sure someone here might have some kind of info for you though! Best of luck at the vet tomorrow... |
Thank you Very sweet of you to reply, thanks for your concern. |
Did he recently get a shot? Kona had a little lump on her back after receiving the rabies shot... it shocked me as it came a week after the vet visit. Good luck!! |
