For those who use Emu Oil.....
 
How do you use it? Do you dilute it with water and spray it on after a bath? Do you put it directly on their skin? Do you dilute it and use it as a rinse after a bath? I am interested in trying it, but a little confused on exactly how it is used. :confused:

All of the above. Seriously, though I find that if I work into the coat after bathing and drying it works for me. It protects coat that is not ready for wrapping. I've tried it as a rinse and it just adds to the drying time.....I guess I'm just in hurry. I don't work it into the skin, just into the coat, you don't need much. I've never diluted it down, except when I've tried it as a final rinse.

I got some emu oil after you talked about it. It's great. But, I didn't understand how to use it either. I put it in a spray bottle diluted about 1 to 4 parts water. You have to heat it and shake it constantly, doing it my way. Next time I'll try it your way. Thanks for the tip on this stuff. I love it.

I Have some of the emu oil but i havent tried it. Does it leave their coat oily?

Well, I got some and put it in a spray bottle with 1 part Emu Oil and 4 parts water, like the previous poster. I sprayed it on Hobbs' coat after his bath, after I towel dried him and before I blew him dry with the hairdryer. It didn't make his coat oily at all. It made his coat so incredibly soft!!!!!! It feels like rabbits fur. I love it. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

But, I was not sure if there were other ways to use it. That is why I wanted to know what everyone else does.

I use High Casade 4 in 1 Shampoo and Conditioner does not leave them oily smells really good to and I have no problems combing and brushing her.

Its A:
1. Shampoo
2. Conditioner
3. Germ Protection
4. Natural Flea, Tick, and Fly Repallent

I tried this shampoo, which has Emu Oil in it, and I am OBSESSED! It is the best shampoo EVER! And since I've started using it, Hobbs dandruff has completely vanished and since it has flea protection, I have been able to take my 2 off the Frontline with no flea problems.
