Nutri-Cal The breeder told me to give this to Juliet. Do any of you use this? She says it helps them avoid hypoglycemia. |
I give it to Kona. She's a very picky eater and doesn't usually eat when nobody is home. I give her a little bit off my finger to make sure her blood sugar stays high enough. She's never had a problem with hypoglycemia. |
It's an absolute must for these small puppies and picky eaters. |
i heard honey is good to have on hand too. |
I gave it to mine when they were young pups. Under two pounds. You just give a finger tip amount 3 times a day. I keep it on hand for if my dogs are sick or arent eating |
I used to give it to Lady too when I first got her |
You need to give it to her a couple of times a day to prevent hypoglocemia. You also need to make sure she is eating enough and eating frequently and that she is keeping warm and not playing too hard. Once she gets over 2 lbs or reaches 12 weeks, she should not need the NutriCal anymore. Giving too much NutriCal can cause diabetes. |
