Hair in her eyes... Gracie always seems to have a few strands of hair that get stuck in her eyes. It looks so uncomfortable. I am constantly trying to clear her eyes of the hair. If we are in the car or on a walk I will use my finger or a tissue to swipe the hair back where it is supposed to go, but then it just goes right back. Can the offending strands be trimmed? When we are at home, I use a wet clean washcloth and removing the hair that way. I try to keep her eyes clear of mucous. Thanks for suggestions. |
i trim around lexi's eyes... she stil has it long to go up in a pony tail though |
I always trim my lucy's hair. It looks like she has bangs. My hubby likes the hair long but I know she doesn't like not being able to see half the time. Crystal |
I'm talking more about the hair at the lower inside corners of the eyes. I worry if I trim it, it will grow to a point that will poke her in the eye, rather than leave it and try to train it to lay down along the side of her nose. |
yes, the lower corner i know what you mean... i cut her right between her eyes and to the middle of her nose.. i also shave that area now, much cleaner. i do good, im proud of myself he he he |
Thanks much Gina. I don't think I would be brave enough to shave a 3 mo. old puppy in that area. It's all I can handle to do the ears and (_;_)! We need to go to puppy school and learn to "sit still"! Ha Ha I will try the trim with some scissors. |
gracie i use the little eyebrow shaver for women on lexi,, so easy, it wont hurt |

Trimming it will only keep the problem presisting. You might want to use a little hair gel on your finger tips and put it on those wild little hairs, until they grow out. Plush Puppy also has a product called Sit N Stay that can be used the same way. |

i did try vaseline, didnt stay on her, she rolled around until i came off, i had no choice but to do it that way... so now i cut all the time, yes it stinks |
My guys have that problem too and then it makes them get those nasty eye buggers. I'm going to try the gel. |
So is any kind of human hair gel is ok to use? Cuz it's around the sensitive area (eyes)....I just want to be extra careful. Thanks :) |

I tried all the little tricks to get Ginger's hair out of her eyes, then followed the advice of some on here, and had it trimmed. It's trimmed in my avatar. Good luck whatever you decide to do! |
