I use a bit of Tea tree oil and Ivory liquid dish soap. Works like a charm, and the tea tree oil keeps the fleas off for a bout 4 - 5 days. |
Flea Spray 8 Oz Water 4-6 Drops of Tea Tree Oil 4-6 Drops of Lavendar Oil This must be used each time your pet goes outdoors. It is not residual. Mix and place in a spray bottle and keep by the door to spritz as you or your pet go outside to deter fleas and mosquitos. Lightly spray bedding and outdoor kennels to deter fleas and mosquitos. Flea and Tick Preventative Shampoo 2 Oz Oatmeal Shampoo 2 Oz Water 4 Drops Tea Tree Oil Also buy a flea collar cut into 2" pieces, place in vacuum cleaner bag and vacuum at least once every day (to pick up the eggs). Also have your dog sleep on a blanket and wash everyday. When buying tea tree oil the better quality ones have a lower incidence of skin irritation. The lower the Cineole number the better and the higher the Terpinen-4-ol number the better the antimocirobial benefits. Don't know much about lavendar, but with essential oils you usually get what you pay for. |
