Mo's Teeth Tomorrow is Mo's big day. He is going to have a lot of dental work done, teeth pulled etc. He is also going to be neutered. Does anybody have any words of wisedom as far as anything that I can have on hand afterward for his comfort like special foods? etc? He is probably going to have a number of teeth pulled-poor little guy-I was thinking he probably wouldn't be able to eat his reg. food right away. Thanks for any advice. Jamie |
Cali had 2 big baby molars pulled last week at the vet they were already loose but they pulled them while she was awake, and she came home and started chewing on he bone, ouch!! She didn't seem bothered by it at all. But you may want to have some wet food available. Good luck! |
I don't know of anything yet either, Chloe just had her surgery done yesterday with some teeth pulled tooo. I am buying a onesie to put on her though so she won't even be tempted to mess with the incisions! Hopefully some can give some good advice! :ghug: |
Poor Mo is 3 yos and has a mouthful of unlost baby teeth, a whole bunch of build up (I forget what it is called) and when I took him to the vet the first time (which was right after I got him) the poor guys teeth were infected and he had a puss build up underneath. He has since been on an antibiotic and his appetite really picked up, I am assuming it hurt a little less to eat. I feel so bad for him. I will be glad when it is over and he is healed. He is such a sweetie. He is just so small and I am so nervous. I just want to be ready when he comes home. |
I gave Chachi and Jewels moist food and scrambled eggs when they came home from having their teeth pulled |
Update on Mo's surgery Mo had his dental work done today along with being neutered. He did well, the vet was pleased with the way his teeth cleaned up and thank goodness he only ended up pulling one tooth! Poor little guy looks and I'm sure feels pathetic but he is quiet and resting. |
