Another question about spaying Abbey is scheduled for her spay at 6 1/2 months old. My question is: Do they usually keep them overnight? None of my other dogs/cat were kept over night. My current vet says he always keeps them overnight in order to give pain med if needed and to be sure they have no complications. She can go home the next morning. What do you think? Ellie |
Most vets do want to keep them overnight, but they also don't have anyone there with them  I have always requested an early morning surgery, picked them up right before closing, received pain killers to take with me and taken mine home so I can watch them. |
I think it depends on the vet. Rocky's vet keeps them over night. |
