Little Worried! Please help..... Hi, my Sam is just 2 months old....we got him last sunday and on monday we went to the vet to have him checked up, he says he's healthy little boy. Today we played for a while outside, letting him run a little bit in front of the house (driveway) and we also ran on the grass. Is it ok to let him run at 2 months? I am worried now coz he's making this weird sound like snorting or grunting or sneezing...I don't really know how to describe the sound. but not all the time. Like right now he's sleeping and everytime he change his position he makes that sound. And as I watch him sleep, he's changing positions every now and then....is this normal? I'm afraid that maybe playing outside he's sniffed something or chewed on something....Can someone help me analyzed this problem? |
The sounds he is making is probably just reverse sneezing and it is harmless. At that age My Vet said my pups could be in my yard only so I think he is okay |
1 Attachment(s) Misha & Piper were doing this also, so I took them to the vet. He checked them all over & couldn't find a thing. I read about the reverse sneezing , but I thought my 2 were doing it way to often. I thought allergies ect, I ended up buying a small humidifier & put it in the bedroom and only run it at night. It's summer here in Fl & it's hot. So our air is really going. Air conditioning takes the humidity out of the air, thus cooling the room. I think it was too dry for them, causing them to snort & make funny noises. Who knows? It worked, they don't do it anymore. |
I think he's sneezing....because yesterday morning, it's a little bit cooler outside and I walked him a little bit outside to let him do his business....he did pee and poo, but he's shivering a little bit...Maybe that's the reason? What do you think? |
It's fine to let him outside in YOUR yard, but don't let him in any public area until after he's had all of his shots. I think that his snorting is probably just sneezing or getting used to the air conditioner in your house. This is normal. |
Emma was doing the SAME thing for the last 3 days. She's almost 5 months old, but has never made these crazy "Reverse sneezing" noices before. I took her to the vet yesterday, and she has seasonal allergies! The worst part is that her allergies gave her pink-eye, pharyngitis, and tonsillitis, and on top of all that she has a bladder infection! Poor baby! I would definitely take your little one in-I didn't know she had all this too! |
how is your baby doing |
Sounds like the reverse sneezing!! Is he better?? |
He's still doing it now...I don't know if it's reverse sneezing, or he's having a cold...but I think it sounds more like reverse sneezing. He's scheduled to have his 3rd shot one September 8, so maybe I could ask the vet by then...I hopw it doesn't get worse till then. Thanks for asking guys! |
