Itching after applying tick control I recently found a tick on Nelly after our camping trip so I decided to give her some flea and tick control because we are going again tomorrow and I do not want her vulnerable to ticks. Well since applying it she is very itchy, it did not affect the other two dogs I have. Could she be allergic or do some dogs just have this reaction. If anyone reads this before we leave tomorrow please reply if you know something about this. I really do not want to get to our camping destination and have Nelly getting a bad reaction while we are there. |
i think lexi itched after applying it too.. but im going to bump this thread up so you can get more answers,, good luck |
Thanks for bumping up, lately I am finding that alot of my threads are not showing up. I would also like to know, how long after did you wash her? I put it on her yesterday around suppertime and she is still itching, it is 9:30 here where I am. It is just so pitiful watching her scratch like that. |
i think waiting a day or two,let it soak in,but not sure of that either,, where is everyone.. someone help please, her poor baby is itching so much, i feel so bad... |
I would let the vet know she is allergic to that flea reventative and try a different one next month. I would give it a day oor so before you bathe and then I would bathe with an oatmeal shampoo. I have heard tea tree oil is good for hot spots too. I have seen tea tree oil at my drugstore. Your vet could give her a shot to stop the imediate itching. |
rocky itch when i applyed frontline plus on him i give him a bath two day after. |
