Heartgard Plus vs Interceptor Could I get some information on who uses what & why? I would appreciate your help. Its all greek to me.:animal-pa |
I use Interceptor bc it is slightly cheaper and bc the pills are smaller than the Heartgard tablets. Hobbs is EXTREMELY picky and Hootie is so tiny and they need to eat the whole thing for it to be affective. I was worried that they wouldn't/couldn't eat the whole Heartgard pill, so I went wtih the Interceptor. |
I also use the Interceptor because something in Heartguard makes her throw-up. |
I have both.... The vet started Pixie on Heargard Plus last November... Then when I took Charlie in a month or so ago, they gave him Interceptor. |
I use the Heartguard Plus for all of my dogs (ranging from almost 4 lbs to 12 lbs) and have never had any problems. It was the one highly recommended by my Vet. |
Ziggy takes Interceptor....he tolerates it very well. I don't know anything about Heartguard but Interceptor is supposed to get rid of other kinds of worms besides preventing heartworms. Maybe heartguard does too? |
I give Kacee Heartgard Plus chewables. I've convinced her it's a treat! :D I just crumble it up in a saucer and she downs it! |
My two girls are less than 5 lbs so our vet gave them Interceptor because of their size. The pill is much easier for them to swallow and we've never had a problem in the past 9 yrs with them taking it. :aimeeyork :aimeeyork |
