Dark yellow pee? What does it mean if the pee is a darker yellow? |
Dehydration? Long length of time between pottying? I have also noticed that boys have much darker pee than girls. |

I think it was my girl... but I'm not 100% sure. I'll make sure that she drinks some water. |
I have notice that Peanut's pee is darker than Lexie's also...maybe it has something to do with the marking.. |
Not enough water?? In humans, dark urine can be caused by dehydration and also by B vitamins. Don't know if it is the same with dogs. I have a terrible time trying to get Henry to drink water. Anyone have suggestions about this problem? |
I have been giving Cali an ice cube with the hot weather and she loves to lick it til it's gone. She is not a big water drinker and her pee has been real yellow lately. |

Remmy was not much of a water drinker and I think this helped contribute to his bladder stones. Now I make sure he has access to water 24 hrs a day. I have also switched him to a can food since they contain more water than dry. Of course he is on prescription food but again I choose the can over the dry since he is just not that intrested in drinking water. |
Maybe if you add som sweetener to the water, like corn syrup, they will drink more. |
I have the same problem with my yorkies - they just aren't interested in water as much as they should be in the hot weather. I have been letting them lick ice cubes and also have switched up one of their meals a day to completely can food (because of the extra moisture content). |
Well the problem seems to be better. I've been trying to make sure that she is drinking. I've also let them play with some ice. Thanks for all of your responses. You guys are great! I don't know what I'd do if this place weren't around.:ghug: :yorkietal |
