Pooping Machine!!! Okay, I know that this is kind of a strange question, but I think I got a poop machine instead of a puppy. I know she has "done her business" 4 times today.:shocked7q That's the typical. 4 to 5 times a day. Other than the frequency it is normal. So I ask, is that normal??? I don't mind I was just curious if that is normal. Sorry to be so gross, but it's kind of shocked me!  :) |
romeo goes about 3x @ day. |
Lexie goes about 4 times a day also, I asked the vet one time about it and he said some go more than others.... Peanut only goes 3 times or 2 times, so I really don't know whats normal...I sure someone on here will know.....:) |
How old is she. Young puppies go 4 to 5 X a day. As they get older it becomes less frequent. Mine are 7 and 6 months and they go twice a day. |
mmmm... as long as it's solid i don't care how much romeo poops. lol.:p |
Do you free feed? The frequency of their meals can affect how often they go... Pixie poohed more often when she was younger, now at a year old she goes an average of twice a day. |
Sadie goes twice a day, on a schedule, which is nice for me! But when shew as sick a month ago, I had to give her some food with fiber in it. She then became a pooping machine herself! She was going 4 times a day, and not at all on a schedule, which was no fun. But we're back to normal now. |
Yes, 4-5 Xs per day is perfectly normal for a puppy. Also, the quality of the food will affect the amount of poop. Lower quality of food with more fillers or by-products (low digestibility) will result in more poop. Your baby should slow down to a couple of times per day when he is older! Also, it is not unusual for a puppy to poop everytime he eats and upon waking in the morning. |
It might be the brand of food that you are feeding her. Some brands of food produce more output than others. |
Kiki is 10 months old and he goes 2-3 times per day. |
Well, at least I know it's normal! Her vet recommended Science diet and gave me a five lb bag for free, but I have Royal Canin from what I've read...I just don't know what to feed... |
