Toothpaste Does anyone know of any sweet toothpasts that dogs really like? I bought Rocky the DDS Canine Toothpaste and he wants nothing to do w/ it. It says to put some on your finger and let the dog lick it to get used to that, I've been doing that and he just turns away. Anyone else have a picky eater and found a toothpaste that they like real well? |
Hello...anyone? |
Sissy likes the Life for Teeth gel and will lick it off my finger. Before I got that I was using Enzadent by Vet (poultry flavor) and she liked that as well. |
CET enzymatic toothpaste recommended by veterinarian My dogs and I LOVE the vanilla-mint enzymatic toothpaste by C.E.T, recommended by my veterinarian. I buy mine at my vet's office, but you can also get it on-line (I've never seen it in a pet store, though I've looked). I tried another brand that was beef flavored and they didn't really like it. They go crazy when I get the CET toothpaste out... they think it's a treat :) and it makes their breath smell minty fresh. Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...420436-7234313 Good Luck! |

Thanks, he might like that since it's vanilla. I think I need to try some samples out. I don't wanna keep spending money on toothpastes he doesn't like, lol. Does anyone know where to get toothpaste samples??? |
Both Annika and Tiger love their toothpaste . . . am not sure what brand but got it from petsmart . . . .so brushing has never been a problem! |
Sorry, don't know where you could get samples. You could always ask the place you are buying from if they have a money back gaurantee. It might not hurt to call the company directly and ask for a sample either. |

I think I'll do that. I tried again to give him toothpaste, he still just turned his head and looked at me like I was crazy. So I put it on the brush that goes on my finger, and held him in my arms like a baby, told him to stay, and was able to get the front of his teeth...but he doesnt like this and I dont wanna torture him every day :( |
