Scary Bump? What could it be? I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of what this could be...I'm worried but I don't wnat to jump to any conclusions. Yesterday evening I noticed a small bump on Roxy's back. She is 4 months old and she was just at the vet about two weeks ago for her last booster and rabies shot. This just came up though, it's under the skin, she isn't acting any different and she doesn't quirm when you touch it or act like it hurts. Should I be concerned...others have told me to just wait and watch it but I'm afraid it may be something serious...any ideas of what this could be? Thanks, Brande :) |
It's from the shot. It will go away |
It's from the rabies shot, it usually comes within a week of getting the shot and will go away within 3 weeks. I don't understand why the vets don't give a warning that the bump might come. |
Thanks I thought that might be what it was from but I wasn't sure since it just popped up and she had the shot a couple of weeks ago...wow thats a relief. Thanks :) |
No problem, I made a frantic call to the vet a few weeks ago when I saw the bump on Kona. |
Our Tila developed the same , after 2 weeks of her rabies shot . Took her to the vet and examined her says its a common reaction to the shots (depending on brand name ) and it usually goes away within 3-4 weeks. Just make sure it doesnt get much bigger in size. |
yes the vet should warn you about that bump. i freaked out when Benji had one on his back and then called the vet and they said it was from the shot. |
Yes they should warn about those bumps. My Jewels had one too |
