Questions about applying Frontline.. After I apply Frontline, can I blow dry the air so that it won't be so wet/oily, or does that effect the Frontline working? Also, the vet says to wait at least 2 days before and after applying Frontline to wash the dogs.. Is that true? Can I still wash them weekly? Since I am applying it to two dogs, should I do anything special to prevent them from getting into each others neck areas? Thanks! |

OK, thanks. :D |
I found this on the Frontline website: Quote:
I don't know why a vet would say wait 2 days after bathing to apply the frontline. I couldn't find anything about blow drying but I agree with RLC12345678 that it might cause it to evaporate it too fast for it to be absorbed. I also couldn't find anything about the dogs licking it off each other but I would just keep an eye on them after you apply it and seperate them for a few hours if it becomes a problem. |

That is strange. My vet recommends that too |
I find that if you apply the oil going upward instead of downward between the dogs shoulders you will get more in the skin than on the hair. I read that somewhere and found it really worked! |
wait two days I've always understood that you should wait two days after bathing, something to do with the natural oils on the skin helping to absorb the medication. And after I would think so that it has enough time to completely absorb before being washed away. |
