Yorkie Passing Gas ok.. so i noticed that Ginger has been passing gas a lot lately, and it SMELLLLLS (peee yoooo) lol. is there something over the counter that i can give her to help with the gas that actually works? she's in no pain at all, but her tummy looks bloated and she's been a fart bomb. Help? :animal-sm :yelrotflm |
Have you switched her kibble or given her something different to eat? MIne did that when I changed their kibble to RC and I had t take them off of it..the smell was awful! lol.Not to mention the poop:eek: I think it could be due to some changes in her diet because that aways causes gases and terribly smelling poop in mine...unless of course there have been no changes. In that case I have no idea what it could be. |
Hehehe.....it's so funny to think of an elegant yorkie, especially one by the name of "Lady" farting. LOL! Or any yorkie, really. They're like cute secret weapons. They pass right under your radar and then POOF! Something STINKS! I've noticed that Sully tends to pass gas right before he has to poop...kinda like a warning sign. OR when he cuddles next to us on our pillows at night and finally relaxes, some gas squeezes out. Which is really gross considering my husband and I and Sully are all comfortably nestled in bed when he chooses to bomb the bedroom with puppyfart. |
like almost 2 weeks ago i switched the foods from Innova to Artemis (they really love this because it's small and easy to eat) .. but she didn't have gas nor diarrhea. i've noticed with her she passes gas a lot. i dont know if its the food shes on right now since she was doing so well for the past 2 weeks on it. any suggestions? |
O :p h how cute...So sorry to hear that. My dog doesnt pass gas at all. Hmm... |
Cordelia loves to get into the cat food; well I'm not sure if she likes it because it is smaller kibble or what. I would tell her no when I would catch her eating it. Well I usually can tell when she just got done eating some of the cat food, because her belly gets bloated and she gets this look on her face like a kid that ate too much candy. So, usually she would get sleepy afterwards Well she always would lay on my chest with her booty right in my face. One night she farted loud, I didn't know a noise could come out of something so small. The funny thing is she was sleeping and it even woke her up and she looked at me like Ooops! Sorry mommy. :yelrotflm |
LOL LOL Cordelia's Mommy that is so funny!!!!!!!! the look they give us after they do something is so funny I can imagine the look she gave you. with their little heads tilting back and forth like what are u thinking that wasn't me LOL LOL LOL |
toby farts too......... the funny thing is that YOU CAN HEAR IT!!!, it sounds like a miniature version of a human fart, he just gives us that look like "what? what are you gunna do about it? Take a big whiff" |
so im guessing this is normal? her little SBD farts are soo killer! (Silent But Deadly!) |
if toby's farts were silent then i wouldnt be as embarressed, but when you can hear the fart over the TV that is when you kinda start to look around at the PEOPLE in the room....... How does it happen??? he doesnt even have little doggy butt cheeks! He has a "starfish" for heaven's sake!!!! |
Mine was on RC and also shared the smell while lying down to go to sleep on my pillow. I couldn't handle it so I switched food to Natural Balance, she didn't like it to much, so I mixed it with the RC. Much better! Jeanne |
We used to have a dog that would do that loud and then look at you like you did it. It was so funny but he stunk too. We spoke to the vet about it and he told us to give he cottage cheese every day. Not alot but just alittle bit. Maybe give him that as a treat would help. :) |
Pookie also passes gas and it's amazing how bad it stinks. But if your dog is bloated and has a lot of gas, you might try som Pepto. That always seems to help Pookie when he's got gas or when I can hear his tummy making weird noises, most of the times it's because he ate something that he shouldn't have, like crums in the kitchen. Oh, I was wondering if your yorkie has eaten a bug before. Pookie ate one the other day and I thought it was weird and nasty! Is it bad for them? Thanks Brenda & Pookie |
