Frontline Plus -- Ticks Last weekend I noticed a little tick had found it's way onto Kona's back. We got it out immediately (thankfully...). I know Frontline Plus is supposed to protect against ticks but at what point to they protect? Does it just protect if the tick gets into their body? I'm going to call the vet about this but I figured I'd ask you guys. |
Frontline Plus (or any other that I know of) is not a repellent to ticks. That means that the ticks can attach, but should die within a few hours. I live in a wooded area and we have an awful time with ticks and Reuger is on Frontline Plus. I find a few ticks on him and they're usually dead. Once in a while I'll find a live one that probably hasn't been attached very long. Personally I'm very happy with how Frontline Plus works. |
