Rocky has not ate in two days!!!!!
 
Rocky has not ate his food in two days. I just recently switched him to Nutro Ultra from Nutro Natural Choice Lamb & Rice. He has be gobbling up the Ultra. I took him to my mom's in Houston this weekend. He at breakfast before we left, but he did not eat his dinner or Sunday's breakfast at my mom's. I just thougth maybe he was just to excited, since my mom has two dogs and huge back yard for him to play in. Well, we got back last night he did not eat his dinner, and he did not eat his breakfast this morning either. But he will eat his treat if you give him one, little stinker. I called the vet this morning they said don't give any treats and to leave his food out today to see if he will eat. They said that if I give him treats then he will start thinking it is okay not to eat his food, which made since to me. The vets also said the heat could be effecting him. They also advised if he did not eat his food today to fix him chicken/rice or hamburger/rice for dinner and to bring him in the morning for an exam. I am so worred about him is only weighs 5 pounds and he is only 10 months old. What do ya'll think?

I think your vet gave you good advice. He may just have a little upset tummy. Another thing I do when mine wont eat is mix a little cottage cheese with their food.

well I agree with chachi and your vet. my little Kim sometimes will skip three meals and I have just gotten use to it. If she eats really well for several days then she will skip a day to day and a half. If he doesn't eat the hamburger or chicken then I would worry. Probably the trip and other dogs just got me off schedule.

I agree with your vet & everyone else. Sometimes after a trip, Sadie will not eat because she is tired or whatever. Also, she gets carsick, so I think that has something to do with it too.

Rosi is a very picky eater, she will gobble some new food one day then next day she will stick her nose up. When i take her to my daughter she will just inhale Iams which i dont want her to have...so i took a little home just to see if she eats it here....nope.....my conclution.... i put down what i want her to have, and get her a playbuddy .....animal greed lol

My fiance just called and said Rocky ate his food. My fiance put Rocky in his crate while he went outside to put the trash out and clean up the garage, and when he got back Rocky had cleanouted his bowl. Of course, my fiance checked his crate to make sure Rocky did hide his food in his blanket like he has once before, and found no food. I guess it is all in his belly!!!! I am so relieved.

Baby Blessing gets the baby carrots as a treat, you could try cutting them up and mixing in with his dry food see if that will work. The heat really gets to ours and she can't tolerate it any to well :( please keep us updated. Patti
