Car Sick I'm having problems bringing my little one in the car with me now. I used to commute every weekend with her in the car and she loved it and now as she's getting older she gets sick whenever the car stops. Any ideas on why this might be happening and maybe a possible way to cure it? |
Dunno but I would like to hear the answer if someone has one. I noticed lex gets a bit car sick himself. |
I'm not sure how to help you, but I'd be interested in any tips also :) |
Our youngest Crockett only throws up on the way to somewhere. On the way home he is fine. Our oldest Jordan used to when he was a puppy but now he just sleeps. I wish I knew something to help you considering Crockett christened our new car. Good thing I had a towel |
Someone mentioned eating ginger in a previous post. I think they said give your baby a gingersnap an hour before you take them in the car. |
I use a natural food supplement that is called seren-um, it comes in tablet form and you give them 1 tablet before a car ride.It also calms them down and is excellent for travel sickness :) |
gotta keep the windows wide open so they get as air as needed... lexi used to go nuts in the car,not anymore with the air hitting her.. |
car sick My Jake used to get car sick if he was in a crate while in the car. Once I took him out of the crate and held him in my arms (my husband is driving of course) he did better. For some reason, though, he always got sick in a crate. I know that it's not safe for the pup to be unsecured in the vehicle, but if I needed to go somewhere with him that's the only way I could get him anywhere without puking and drooling. My vet suggested benadryl, but tyring to give it to him was traumatic so gave up on that. I would start by taking the pup for short rides and gradually extend the amount of time in the car as he does better. My new pup, Zachary, has no problems with getting car sick, thankfully. |
