Does anyone else's baby like to lick people's hands? Latte wiill lick our thumbs for an hour if we let her. I read somewhere that this is just submissive behavior. :animal-pa

Lady is constantly licking, feet, hands, faces what ever is closest

Bailey's the same. Especially if she has started to bite and we tell her "no bite," she'll start licking as if her life depended on it. I seem to remember reading that it is not only submissive behavior, but social behavior - grooming, etc.

We're trying to teach Bailey the command "enough" when we're tired of it (don't want to say "no" because most of the time we love it), and she seems to be getting it - but she's a little slow to respond.

Moe isn't as avid on hands, but feet, he cleans them quite well, every inch, inbetween toes ect...he does it in such a way it don't tickle my very touchy feet, its more like a nice massage...LOL I have lost it havnt I...LOL

My boys lick lips.. they will lick your lips for an hour if you let them. I don't know why lips, but its the first place they go for. One of my guys will lick my arm for an hour until I get sick of it, but the other one is not so much a licker. Feet too! LOL they are crazy lickers!

Sadie licks all the time. But her favorite time is to lick my feet when I get out of the shower. She knows the difference in the sound of the shower and the sound of the water coming out of the tub faucet and when she hears it stop coming out of the shower head she runs over to the tub and stands there so patiently. As soon as I get out of the shower, she has to do the "taste test" to see if I'm clean!

ohh my god my Rocky will lick you till your skin dissapears if he could i thought it was his way of giving me kisses. Because i also tell him to "no" when he starts bitting my fingers then he starts licking them he's so cute i tell him no and he stops but when i look away he starts again.

i was told that they lick because they can taste the salt in your sweat. That's why they go for teh hands, feet, and face most of the time.

Tucker is a lover licker, very slow and sexy. He too would lick your face off if I let him. I have to tell him that's enough and move him away......several times before he will finally stop. He's not being submissive, he's just giving me kisses, kisses, and more kisses.
