hey does anyone have an idea of how much neutering costs, including any medication or watever is needed?

In Texas, it's around $50-$80 I believe. It's been 3 years since I knew though

Well in Cali.the cost of neutering is $60-$80

Well out here yeah, that includes everything but you should ask your vet cuz every vet is different

The actual neutering was 110.00 for Titan. I was given the option for pre-op blood work to make sure he was fit for surgery which I accepted (additional charge). We also had 4 teeth pulled at the same time (15.00 ea) total tab was $267.00.

Cooper is being neutered on Thursday and it will be 209.00 for the neutering. He is also getting microchipped, but that is extra. I am dreading Thursday !!:(

I will be picking Dancer up from being neutered tomorrow and I can tell you zactly how much. The vets in my area are spensive but good...except when they take your baby to spay her and she dies. Please forgive me for that bit of black humor. I have read some posts and am starting to cry so I need to get in my black humor mode before I go to bed tonight...

Horrifying....as you already know, Rini, I took my 9 mo old Yorkie to have surgery on a broken leg and he died on the table....presumably from the anesthesia.....total hysteria followed for us it is a very difficult thing to get over....losing a perfectly healthy loved one that way. Sooooo sorry, Rini

250 and 350
 
Sparks was $250 and Manny was $350 (two teeth pulled, nails done, and full day in vets office for Manny). I did the optional blood work and cathedar because if anything goes wrong that is the fastest way to administer medicine.

I just made an appointment for Tank for next tuesday and it's going to be at least $250..... The lady at the vet said that they may send him home with some pain medicine and so I'm sure that will cost me extra also...

YIKES even by the standards here i n New York that is totally exhorbitant !!!
I never heard of such a thing as $520.00 for neutering !!! It would be a good idea for you to check around the area and see what other vets get. Good grief !! :thumbdown :thumbdown

We will be getting our puppies done at the same time in Sept/Oct timeframe. I thought it would be around that much at the most for two.:eek: Perhaps I will shop around at the clinics that do just that and little else as long as they are safe. Otherwise I will use my current vet...:animal36

The ASPCA does it for 25.00-if you check there website the mobile clinic is going to be in Brooklyn next week. Good luck
