Best small kibble ? I would love to hear what every one is feeding thier kids- besides Royal Canin and Royal Balance.. any one use Wysong Allegren? Its supposed to be good for allergies..however, I do not know the size of the pieces.. I would like to see if there are other good smaller bit dry foods-that might help the allergy prone Yorkies.. |
I use Chicken Soup for the puppy or dog's Soul. It has no corn or wheat. I went through atleast 8 different brands of food if not more trying to find one that worked best on my little allergy sufferer. It does have several sources of meat so if you don't know the source of your dog's allergy that might not be particularly a good thing if you are trying to determine what the source is. But was ok in my dog's case. My dog also let me know that a lot of the foods specially made for allergy sufferers is not very palatable. She wouldn't even try some of them. Good thing Petco offers a 100% guarantee on their higher end dog foods. They take an exchange on the food no questions asked. Saved me a lot of money when I found that out. |
Jodi! That Petco exchange policy is good to know! Thanks for the tip! |
from experience, for allergy prone pups/dogs Canidae and also Innova/Innova EVO are the best. you can look at innova's ingredients : www.naturapet.com and canidae: www.canidae.com |
Royal Canine has too much fat in it, in my opinion. I feed Sully "Small Bites" by Nutro. |
How much fat does a puppy need and how much does an adult need? |
I just checked the Canidae and found a dealer locally. I've been wanting to call this dealer anyway because I found out she is a trainer as well. This gives me two reasons to call her now!!! I'm willing to try the Canidae. Lisa |
