Messing in the house! My lil Frankie has been messing in the house all week! I don't know what to do! If I let him outside he runs all over the nieghborhood! I call for him and he just goes farther away! :( Now my concern about him messing in the house is, it is very loose. I have taken him out on a leash to take him potty but he will just sit there and look at me. I am frustrated and don't know what to do. He is going all over my house! Almost like he can't help it. Any advice would be great! Thanks! |
:aimeeyork How old is Frankie? Must be so difficult without a garden, something I take for granted so much. Gizzie is 9 months old and I think she goes that bit too often and often she is loose too. I certainly have to watch what food I give her and maybe this is the case with Frankie too? You could try experimenting with various foods? Not easy I know! I think that Gizzie shows too much urgency when she needs to go too, no idea if Frankie is like this? Gypsy Rose, her elder sister can and does eat anything! Do you use pads for Frankie? We rarely use them here in the UK but if you don't have a garden I guess you have to! I can only guess that Frankie is young and I'm sure he'll gert in a routine. Best of luck, Ana xx |
Frankie is 7 months old. Nope we don't have a garden :( we just moved into our newly built house and we don't even have grass. It has just been recently that his "mess" has been loose. Yes he eats whatever he finds on the floor. Cleaning up his "mess" this morning, I noticed it look mucusy (sp). I don't know if that means anything. He is making my carpets look awful, know any good carpet cleansers? Frankie is due to a trip to the vet so I am going to call them. |
I cleaned up 8 little piles of poop this morning  I don't know what to do with him :( I am so frustrated  |
It sounds to me like Frankie has an upset system. My Maddie got diarrhea and I called the vet and was told to give her boiled hamburger and white rice and a small amount of pepto bismol. I did that, but she had mucous in her stools and I took her into the vet and was given some medicine and some special prescription food. That cleared her right up and she has been good since then. I think when Frankie gets the urge to go, it's like right now and that would be why you're having problems with him messing in the house. I noticed that when Maddie had to go...it was, "Quick...get me outside...I can't wait!" Good luck with Frankie...I think you should have him checked out by your vet! They will also probably want to do a fecal test to rule out parasites...they did that with Maddie and hers was negative, but I guess parasites can also cause those symptoms. Good luck! |
