Picky Picky Eater after Dry Food Episode Still am having a hard time getting Baby Blessing to eat dry food. I have changed to other brands since the episode several weeks ago when she got so sick of which the (vet and we think) was a bad batch of dry dog food. She absolutely refuses to eat any that we get for her, I let her go so long and then find myself giving her cooked chicken, cottage cheese, carrots or what ever I think is ok for her to have, (but I really don't want this habit to keep up.) I have even put the dry food in with the other and she eats around the dry and leaves just that. Has anyone else gone through this, if so what do you suggest. Friends told me over and over she will eat the dry if she gets hungry enough, but that scares me and I can't let her go so long without eating. We appreciate anyones input on this to help us to help her. Thanks everyone. Patti and Jack |
It's so easy to spoil these little ones, i know you worry about her not eating, i do the same... have you tried "playing" with her dry food? I throw Chanel's kibbles up for her to catch most of the time, she's a bad eater... only thing she's anthusiastic about is her treats  |

Say what is the weather like your way, were those recent earthquakes near by. I dread the thought of them, the big fault runs just below us on the next property. Wow I am one :happyboun lady I have just got the icons to work again :) I am off to do some more sewing. Have a nice day or evening whichever there where you are. Patti :teethysmi |
I finally ended up giving my choices. I set out three different brands and they eat what they want. I feed them each 1/2 of Cesars both morning and night. Then I leave 3 kinds of dry food out all the time. I rotate between Iams Eukanuba Natural choice scinece diet little bits Royal Canine and Puppy chow. They eat them all, somedays one, somedays another. The seem to prefer Royal Canine, and the least favorite is the Natural Choice. those pieces are bigger, so that might be why they avoid it. And the Royal Canine pieces are the smallest. I also have two puppies, and I believe that makes them better eaters also. They play more. |

Baby wont eat I agree with JeanieK, Getting another yorkie does help.Since we got Peanut a brother he will eat in the morning. Also after they play tag they eat more dry and alot of water. Have you tried the IAMS Gravies? You put it on the Dry Food and mix. |
I know how you feel because my little guy will NOT eat the dry as a regular meal. I did the thing you just said and told myself he will eat it eventually - i mean he won't starve himself right? But that is when he had a horrible drop in sugar andi think it was becasue he just would not eat. So i told myself I would just feed him what he likes and give him plenty of bones to chew on for his teeth since that is what the dry does anyway! I feed my guy the benefuls wet food in the AM and PM and keep the dry down in the daytime. He picks at it when he wants some but his real meals are just the wet. I know many would say the benefuls are not that great of food but HEY it is what my guy likes and I would rather him eat than not eat. Hope this helps - good luck! |

The weather is GREAT here, LOTS of sun for a change :D Yesterday we had very strong wind, the sunshades were out and the one side came loose due to the wind  No thank goodness we not close where the earthquakes appeared... it must be very scary though. What are you sewing?? Don't forget to show us your art work! |

I'll wait for my Mom to try the jammies, she's in the textile business... i havent a clue as to what i'm doing lol... I made some dresses a while ago, they came out pretty good, i need to give it a go again. There's so many things we can make for them eh :D |
