picky eaters? or relenting parents? so i was roaming about the 'net and happened upon other breed sites. apparently every breed owner believes their breed to be "the pickest eater". which leads me to think, do we really have picky eaters or just relenting parents? :p bunjee's not particularlly thrilled about the food i have him on right now. i'm going to switch when he finishes his current supply but until then, i'm taking the approach my parents took with me when i was a kid... you eat what you're given or go hungry, end of discussion. haha. |
I am definately a relenting parent. Cali had many health issues especially with hypoglycemia so i had to make sure she ate. After her surgrey I started making lean 17 percent protein chicken breast and hamburger. She is starting to eat better so I am reintroducing dog food to her diet and hope to switch her within the next month or so. I also srated her on Missing Link yesterday. I am just so worried she will get sick if I can't get her to eat. |

When I first got Chloe she was the pickiest eater I have ever seen! I went to great lengths to make sure that I found a food that she would eat! Maybe I should have just stuck with one and made her eat it but I couldnt stand the fact of her not liking the food I was feeding! |
i know im wrong, but when lexi does not eat, i had feed her...im so bad. if she doesnt like it, i give her something else...bad mommy huh? sometimes i say frig you and she will have to eat what i put down and you know what? she eats it eventually.. |
HunnieBunnie -- I'm like you. I am always looking for healthy foods that my dog's like. But, when I feed them (what I know is good food)...... I pretty much leave it until they eat it, which they usually do. If they had their way, they'd have fillet mignon every night. Lord knows - my dogs get their fair share of "treats." But - they have to eat their other food too. And - we keep telling ourselves that we eat to live - we don't live to eat!!!! Carol Jean |
