our fergies teeth Our fergie is 4 months old. She is healthy happy & (SPOILED) My question is when do her adult teeth come in. I have been told that sometimes the new teeth come in before the baby teeth fall out. What do we watch for and what is the best course of action? I gotta go she is biting my toes. thank you in advance fergies dad |
I believe she should start loosing her teeth soon. My little boy Hercules is 7 months and he's almost done loosing his teeth. I guess just be on the lookout for teeth on the floor or if she seems to be chewing on something in her mouth. That's how we were able to find 5 of Hercules' teeth! Just take a look in her mouth every now and then and look for open spaces. |
If she starts to get adult teeth next to her baby ones, you will probably notice the smell. They could fall out on their own but if they don't your vet will pull them. If you are getting her spayed that is the best time to have them done. No need putting her under twice. |
teeth My Bentley's lost most of his baby teeth between 5 and 9 months of age. We saved all the ones we found and put them in a little baby teeth container just like I did with my now 8 year old son :p Wish I had saved a snip of his baby hair from his first hair cut! |

Funny, I have an 11 year old and he too has retained many baby teeth that most children have lost by now. What are these children trying to do to me?????? |
At about 5-6 mos they start coming out. Look for two rows of teeth. This might mean the vet may need to pull some. |
