Weight?? Mickey is 4 1/2 lbs and only 13 weeks old, is mickey over weight for his age? |
Sebastian weighs 1lb 12 oz. and he is 11 weeks but he is estimated to be between 3-4 lbs full grown. Your puppy may be in the 6-8 lb range full grown. I am not an expert just my opinion. Some say to double the weight at 12 weeks and that is their estimated weight. |
Your pup could be 9lbīs or over full grown..or of course he could be smaller;) The rule of thumb (double weight at 12 weeks, triple weight at 8 weeks) doesnt always work. For some people it has been spot on,but for others it has been more like a rule of "dumb"...lol.Jess was 3 lbīs at 12 weeks,so of course we thought she would get up to about 6lbīs.But here she is at 11 months old, weighing in at almost 9lbs and STILL growing;) With Lady it was the oposite. She was 8 ounces at 7 weeks,10ounces at 8weeks which meant her weight was estimated to be 2 to 3 lbīs full grown, she is 16 months old now and weighs 2lbīs:) Through experience all I can say is that you will have to wait and see:) There are a few factors that can change the weight pattern of your baby..one of them is spaying or neutering because after this they usually put on some extra weight. |
Sounds like he'll be around 8lbs fully grown... How big were his parents? |
my scrappydoo is 15 months old and he is 7 lb 2oz when he was 12 weeks old his weight was 3lb 4oz :aimeeyork |
chelsie........... my toby was 3 lbs at 12 weeks too.... and now he is a nine pounder as well :D ... i was told he would be 5-6 lbs full grown . . . which is kinda funny because i specifically wanted a LARGE yorkie but the guy still insisted on that weight (yeah...... whatever) i almost DIDNT buy him because i didnt want him that small . . . works just as well for me :p |
precious is 11 weeks and she weights 2.5 lbs |
I love the biggens too..lol.If I can get another yorkie in the future I want it to be one of the bigger ones again:) Theres more to cuddle! lol. |
