ok i just looked at my baby's teeth and a bunch of them are missing!!! the 3 front ones on the bottom and then 1 on the top!!! at what age do they normally lose their baby teeth? he is 4 months old right now!!! has anyone else had this happeN!?

My baby lost his at 5 months. I thought the teeth he had were his permenant teeth so i freaked out. I thought he broke them or something. I took a close look at his gums and where his teeth had falling out i saw new teeth starting to grow. Thank god for checking those teeth ame seeing those grow out cause knowing me i would of gone to the vet and asked him to give put some false teeth in there,just kidding about the last part

toby is 6 and a half months and he has only a couple baby teeth left.... it is REALLY important to keep an eye on them because a lot of times the baby teeth dont come out on their own and need to be pulled.... youre baby is probably really hurting though, you might want to give youre baby an ice cube, it feels good on their gums and is GREAT for the teething stage....

Yes I too freaked out at 1st. He lost them and his gums were bleeding. I called the vet and they said that was normal. So when he was nutered (which was this past Tues) They also pulled 9 baby teeth that were left. Before they were pulled, it looked like there were 2 rows of teeth. He would chew on ice cubes. I think they do make their gums feel better!!! :eek:

Thanks guys so much! you have definately made me feel a lot better!!!! i was so scared when i saw like 4 of them missing!!! especially because he chews on everything! haha i thought something was making them fall out!! thank you though!!! i'll keep an eye on him and give him some ice cubes! he loves to chase ice cubes around!! ! TyAnn

I came to this site when I had the same problem. I got really nervous when a bunch of Gus' teeth fell out. He was 5 months old. I couldn't see teeth coming in underneath and got upset but people here told me it was normal. I felt so much better. The teeth came in so fast, it was amazing. Now he has such nice teeth except for one last sharp baby that is firmly still in place. It will probably have to be pulled. :rolleyes:
