Good Morning Take a Guess?? What would you say is the most essential nutrient in a dog's diet. If someone guesses it right away, I'll pm you and let the thread go alittle longer to see if there any others that agree. |
Vitamin A.. |
Good Morning - Take a Guess Good Guess, but sorry that is not right. I'll just go ahead for now while I am logged on and say if you are right or wrong. |
My 1st guess would be water but is that a nutrient? Second guess is protein |
Id say water. |
:D How about LOVE? :p |
Water.... |
The Winner lol You smarty Pants!!! Water is it and most people overlook it. A dog can continue to live after losing almost 100 percent of its body fat and more than 50 percent of its body protein but a loss of only 10 percent of its body water is usually fatal. The easies way to prevent dehydration is to encourage adequate water intake at all times. You can add water to your dog's food or by feeding high moisture canned diets. Flavouring the water with beef broth, for example can also help. While dogs with mild dehydration will drink to replenish body fluids, severly dehydrated dogs will generally refuse to drink These dogs requir immediate veterinary attention and agressive fluid therapy in order to prevent death. Lots of winners. |
Oh, there are lots of winners. lol |
