I feed Chewy Natural Balance hard kibble and have been very happy - Great ingredients. I give him some of their wet food or some meat roll on the weekends as a treat. For training, I just cut up little pieces of the meat roll and use that or I give him green beans. |
For the past year+ my three have been getting Innova EV0. They also get a variety of "human food" tidbits for treats -- cheese, carrots, peas, watermelon, and peanutbutter to name a few. |
my beagle and mixed eat ceasers wet food mixed with purina kibble, and sometimes a little rice. they love it! oh and as dessert they either get the petco treats or scooby snacks, don't worry their treats not cookies! |
Great topic...I've also been curious to see what everyone else feeds their Yorkies... Madison eats Eukanuba dry food in the morning and at night she eats 1/2 can of Mighty Dog mixed with eukanuba (we alternate the flavors, but her FAVORITE is Chicken, Bacon and Egg). Her absolute favorite treats are Charlee Bear's Liver Flavor. In regards to "people" food - we dont like to give her much, but she occasionally will get some cheese, steak or chicken (if we are having it we put some aside for her dinner), eggs (about 1x a week), and peanut butter (she loves that - it is good to give right???) We also keep a raw hide out for her all day just to have something to chew on... |
My girls Jazzie & Jewel are on Natural Balance Duck & Potato formula. In addition to the dry kibble, I add one of the following: Ribeye Steak with grated carrots & broccoli Salmon with Italina herbs Calf Liver (when I can find them) El Pollo Loco Chicken Treats are: Watermelon (Jewel just love it!) Nutro Small dog biscut Apples Asian Pear Apple and Vanilla Ice Cream (only occasionally and very little of it) They eat better than I do! |
I feed 50/50 mix of Hills Prescription p/d and Innova Puppy, both are dry kibble. Discussed with vet today and he thought that this is a good blend. Zoe is 5 months. For treats, Honey Nut Cherrios (just a couple at a time) and Innova Health Bars. :) |
My furbabies eat Flint River Ranch rice and lamb kibble. They really like it !!! |
henry eats nutro puppy and paul newmans organic treats....once in awhile he gets carrots, but not very often. |
I feed Samson Innova Puppy (dry) and will start to mix in the adult formula pretty soon. For treats I give him mini Dingo bones, these dehydrated chicken strips (his absolute favorite and their good for him), Eukanuba puppy biscuits, and some other various things I bought along the way but am pretty much just using up until their gone. As far as people food he really likes green peppers. Every once in a while I'll give him a little steak or chicken and sometimes my husband sneaks him peanuts. |
I feed moose a dry mix of Authority Harvest Bake Lamb and Canadie. She gets three dog bakery cookies and scooby snacks Lil Bear gets royal cannin(renal lp, for her liver shunt), half a little ceaser. she gets tiny t-bones, beggin strips, and pup corns |

Loki gets Canidae dry and I also give him about a tablespoon of the wet each day mixed with his medicine. We've had tummy issues from the start and the Canidae cleared that all right up. I thought the wet food would mess up his tummy but it's fine. 6 months ago, one piece of cheese would make him sick. We love Canidae :) |
My 3 are very spoiled. They get BilJac frozen dog food. I was told it was not available in every state. They like it as long as they get a variety. They seem to tire of anything if they eat it day after day. I also keep some kind of kibbles dry dogfood out for their teeth and they eat a little at a time. I cook for them several times a week. I make them chicken and rice with some veggies. I also make them eggs a 2 or 3 times a week. I usually put a little cheese in the eggs and sometimes some sort of meat. My husband gives them hot dogs sometimes as a treat. I'm not sure they are very good for them but he says they love them. He cuts them up in little pieces so they won't spoil. They also get yogurt and cottage cheese and I give them cheese as a snack sometimes. For snack, they git various kinds of packaged treats for dogs. I vary that too. Just whatever I pick up. The two boys love their treats. They go right in their crates and x-pen because they know they will get a treat. Jasmine always wants a treat but never eats it. One of the boys will find it on the floor and eat it later. I have to find a treat she likes. She is my little beggar. She wants whatever I am eating. My husband says I cook more for the doggies than I do for him. Last night when I got home from work I fixed the furbabies eggs and cut up some turkey in the eggs. He said there was something wrong with me fixing the puppies dinner before I fixed his. Haha |
