Dingo Bones anyone use these? I never gave Stewie any form of raw hyde until today. I cannot tell you how much he loves these freaking things! I've never seen him love any treat more. Just wondering if anyone else feeds them and if they get the same reaction. |
Sugar and the rest of my crew absolutely love them they know as soon as I open the package what they are getting ang they all dance around and wait for theres then they get them and go off put it down and come back to see if they will sneak a second its pretty funny.... |
OMG I was just posting on here and he snuck into the petsmart bag and snuck a second one out of the torn package!!!! I can't believe it! I have never seen a reaction like this from him over food! |
Beware of Yorkie Gas! |
NO....I do not recommend Dingo bones! I posted a thread awhile back "new to site with shaking baby" .....the vet still was not 100% percent on the cause, but when I took one of every chewy, treat, food, etc. that I ever gave Mojo .....one was Dingo bones.....Mojo used to LOVE these things....but the vet said not to give these, period! The pieces they tear off can cause blockage which can lead to dangerous and sad circumstances. Again, Mojo just loved these things.....as he did Greenies too....but those two are no longer allowed in our house....Dingos are not very digestible and Greenies actually expand to about triple their size!!!! Please watch out......these are my personal opinions and I had to pay a high vet bill, spend two weeks with little sleep and had a very sick baby.....not treat is worth that! |

I just don't want someone else to go through all the heartache that we did over a treat!!! It is hard to see your baby on IV for days, shaking, not eating, blood coming out, not poop!! It is scary......our family decided that a $3 package of Dingo or a $15 package of Greenies is NOT worth that ever happening again!!!! But....as the saying goes....what works for one, might not work for another! I also started a thread in Health and Diet awhile back....for ideas on treats (healthy). We are very picky now after this has happened. |
Yes!!!! Lily absolutely loves them!!! |
I've only ever given Harley rawhide once and took it away after only 5 minutes when I saw blood all over it. He was chewing so frantically on it that he cut up his mouth pretty badly.. So no more rawhide for him. |
I did until today. Tigger also loved them, but the outer casing always came off and I would find it laying around the house somewhere. Then I have to throw them away. So now I'm switching to smoked beef back rib. It's an all natural bone with meat on it. He's been going at it for a half hour maybe longer. It can splinter though so make sure you read all the warnings. Just keep a close eye on your dog when you give them anything hard. Rawhide can be bad and even fatal. It's just a matter of supervision at all times. and making sure to take things away after awhile. your dog rawhide, ] ALWAYS READ WARNING LABELS. This way prior to buying the product you know the possible hazards. |
Had a negative outcome like Jenn218 with the dingos when Jolene lived with my parents. Pooped frank blood, and almost constant trips to the vet to try to figure out what was going on. Finally when the treats, the dingos, were taken away, the symptoms got very much better. Now with strict diet control, she has no problems. |
My Tiger loved those rawhydes and dried muscles but alas not his tummy. I had to rush him to the vet because he threw up and had really soft stool for a whole week. He eventually had to take medication as he has acquired bacteria overgrowth. Be very careful of them. . . .puppies will eat anything and you'd think it is okay. Consult your vet. Now I am careful on what to give Tiger because his tummy is way too sensitive. I just feed him INNOVA, special premium treats and raw carrots . . . . he is happy these days! |
My Bailey LOVED them but be careful. One day while he was chewing on them it came unraveled and became lodged in his throat none the less to say we started to give him the dingo sticks instead. hope this helps |
:thumbdown Same thing happened to Muffin with the Dingo. She LOVES to chew on the curly bully sticks but I ran out. I had some Dinos laying around that my Maltese didn't eat. I gave one to Muffin and she chewed on it for a long time and then I heard her choking in the other room! I was frantic...She had chewed off the end and it was logged in her throat!! My husband and I managed to get it out THANK GOD but I will never give her another Dingo - EVER!! Muffin is a frantic chewer! She was going gonzo on Greenies and was even getting agressive when we would try to take them away. Needless to say she doesn't get those anymore either! We love the curly bullly sticks. They are more expensive but they are better for them and not quite as dangerous. |
Ok I feel dumb what is a dingo bone? And I looked before ( searched) for Bully sticks, and couldn't find anything on them. |
