bad breath How can i help toby's bad breath, it smells kinda fishy |
I bought this stuff from PetSmart called "Petrodex - Breath Spray for Dogs & Cats" It's this pink stuff in a spray bottle. I find it works great on Gizmo. |
I got Sebastian the breath mints they sell at Wal-mart in the dog aisle, he is only 9 weeks so I crush it into smaller pieces for him to chew. I think it works great. |
is there anything to prevent it before it gets this bad, or do you just spray breath stuff in their mouth every day????? the food he is using hasnt changed and neither has anything else except for the fact taht he is teething, could this bad breath be an effect of teething????? |
Ha ha....Everytime I see a post on "bad breath" I think of Junebug's Otis...She is often commenting on Otis's stinky breath and it makes me laugh. Maybe teething does happen to have something to do with it like you mentioned, I am not sure?? Maybe brushing Toby's teeth will help somewhat? makes those puppy kisses kinda yucky huh if their breath is bad. Good luck! :p |

I just recently ran into this problem with Joey. His breath was fine since I got him and now at 5 1/2 months his breath stinks like fish. I read about putting a few drops of Cholorophyl in their drinking water, but I don't know where to find liquid Cholorophyl. Anyone know? Perferably some Canadians so I can relate to one of the stores. Help please. |
Greenies are supposed to be good for their breath too. |
I think teething probably does or can cause bad breath. I love the puppy breath...wish it would stay like that! LOL Maddie is near 6 months and for the last couple of weeks has had bad breath. She had loose teeth...those longer ones on the sides...and they finally fell out and now she doesn't have the bad breath. My vet said it could also be from an acidy stomach and Maddie has been under the weather, but improving now, so that could be it too. Maybe a york peppermint pattie would work...just kidding...LOL! |
