Snorting or Sneezing I was asked to make this a thread, and I agree I need some ideas. Little baby Freya has been snorting. Or is it sneezing? Both? It's more of a air blowing from her nose, sometimes quite powerfully, than a honking or pig snorting. Then she'll have these short, almost violent sneezes that I know for sure are sneezes, rocking her head with the sneeze. She had one in bed that was like 2 or 3 secs, frightened me for a few secs myself. I don't know. It could be dust. It could be something else. Is the air snorting and sneezing two different things? |
Well it could be reverse sneezing or collapsing trachea. Try to get in on video. |
Emma does reverse sneezing . Usually after over exertion (zoomies) or excitement and even drinking her water too fast . Very common in yorkies . |
She does it in bed, resting, often. But I don't think it's collapsed trachea, because she doesn't have the symptoms. |

It's not a honking. It's more of an airy snort. It may be sneezing, I guess. |
Try this thread for viewing videos of kennel cough, reverse sneezing, and CT. https://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/di...d-trachea.html |
I think I would check with the Vet. |
