Healthy teeth and gums What do you recommend for in between dentals? Dental wipes? Additive to water? It is very difficult to brush our furbabies' teeth. |
I use Healthy Mouth. It's one of the few dental product approved by VOHC. |
If you use CET tooth paste you don't have to brush you just have to get it on the teeth. |
Dental help My yorkies love the vanilla mint toothpaste by CET. My vet gave me a liquid called Maxi Guard. It's oral cleansing gel. Natural zinc and vitamin C formula. Says it cleans teeth and freshens breath with or without brushing. I put a dab on my finger and swab it over teeth. |
They also make OraVet chews. |

Great product. Also, check out Petsmile toothpaste. Also on the VOHC approved list. I like CET toothpaste, vanilla mint is my favorite. Makes their breath so fresh. |
I brush once a week at bath time with the CET vanilla mint I give the CET dental chews but I’ve run out o that’s not as consistent. I also use healthy mouth as a water addition but I also leave a little on as a topical agent on her teeth at bath time. The small bottle of healthy mouth has lasted me since February of this year and I still have some to get me to feb 2019. Emma will be due for her dental then. I will say that this routine has helped prevent the stinky breath and I hope she doesn’t loose any teeth at her next dental. You don’t have to do every day but any effort 1x a week will help your pet treamendously |
I'm a newbie here. I would like to know which is better toothpaste for 4 years, old baby? I'm looking for something which is healthy and reliable. |
We use Healthymouth and Petsmile and have had great dental results with that combination. Started brushing Cali’s teeth when she was young because she lost so many teeth so she is good with it and she LOVES the Petsmile paste! Licks it right off my finger! |
