1 1/2 year old female baby in heat again ....
 
Hi all you lovely people,
My Lucie ( female, 18 months old) is in heat again for the 3rd time.
Normal for her to be very attached to me ? ( can she get even more attached than normal;) )
What other tips for these babies in heat ?
I had 2 yorkies before but both de-sexed

Are you planning on breeding your female and reason she is not spayed?

If you are not planning to breed her she should have been spayed before her first heat, usually at 6 months old.

You are putting your girl at risk for mammary gland tumors which will lead to cancer, and Pyometra which is fatal.

With each heat that she has you are shorting her life. Please spay her after this heat is over.

I know this is not an answer to your question, I am concerned that your girl has a long and heathy life and spaying (de-sexed) her will give her this.

You need to know the more heats she has the higher her risk of mammary tumors and deadly poymentra go up. You really need to spay her after this heat it is soooooo much better for their health and well-being.

Yes I m aware of the possible health risks associated but Lucie had very bad reactions to the General anathestic when she had her surgery for spine surgery and endured long recovery processes and side effects , etc. She is very tiny, under 3lbs.
That is the main reason why I do not want to put her through another surgery if possible

Have you talked to the vet about about using a different medicine to put her under? What issues did she have?

Spay surgery is much more routine and simple than spinal surgery. I would discuss the anesthesia problem with the vet, or perhaps get a second opinion from another veterinarian. If you get a second opinion, you will definitely need to take the medical records with you to be sure that the veterinarian knows which anesthetic gave the bad reaction during the spinal surgery. If you do go ahead and have her spayed, be sure to get blood work done before the surgery--that will let the doctor know if there are any additional health issues that need to be addressed prior to surgery.
