Fish Smell I give Bella and Thumper Salmon Oil in their food. Right now I am using Yummy Chummy Salmon Oil. However, it makes their breath stink. Does anyone have any suggestions of brands that does not have the fish smell. Bella loves to give kisses but I turn her away because the smell is so bad. |
Krill oil doesn't smell as fishy... It's best to buy the smallest size fish oil bc it can get rancid from oxidation. Pump bottles do not help, unless it's airless pump. |
You could use Camelina Oil instead, HERE. I love it! You get the Omegas, AND you get the Vit E included - which is always needed anytime you're giving Omegas, so a dog's body can process/use the Omegas. |

It was Scottie's 3rd birthday yesterday and I went on a shopping spree of food, treats, and got him some krill oil (as recommended by mimimomo). He tried dried sardines for the first time and absolutely LOVED it!!! :D Here's him with the home-made bday sardine cake I made him. lol |

Sardines are great! I get the sardines packed in spring water w/ no added salt, they make that face when I feed it to them w/ chopsticks LOL. |
I just got this the other day, so can't say how it is...but it has no fish smell & they love it! https://www.amazon.com/Ascenta-Healt...ega+3+for+dogs Here's the website w/ all the 411: https://www.nutrasea.ca/store/canine....html?___SID=U |

P.S. Use only COLD PRESSED Flax Seed oil and if you add actual flax seeds in your dogs food grind it just before you use it or it loses it's benefits. After the seeds are broken their shelf life is something like 15 minutes! |
The only issue with flax is that allergy dogs can be sensitive to it. |
