How many times a day do you feed your adult Yorkie I just adopted a 15 month old Yorkie girl and her owner say she feeds her once a day in the morning. I am wondering if this is enough because the guy at the pet store told me that that's just not right and that she should be fed twice a day. I also read in the Yorkie for dummies book that feeding is supposed to be twice a day.. May I ask you guys how much do you feature Yorkie or better yet how many times a day do you feed and what time. Thank you so much! |
Twice a day. Follow the recommendations on the food label for the weight of the dog and the amount to feed per day. When feeding twice daily, divide the total recommended daily amount by 2. I feed my dogs when I eat at breakfast and dinner.... Plus some snacks and treats throughout the day. |
Also Twice a day. Cut the total amount of food to be given in half, feed 1/2 in the morning and 1/2 at night. For my 5 yo 12 pound boy he gets 1/3 cup at 6:30am and 1/3 cup at 4:30PM. Treat at 8PM AFTER he has gone through ALL his commands and tricks. |
