Tylan Powder for IBD My yorkie is 3 lbs. After several bouts with IBD vet is trying Tylan Powder. What is the appropriate dose.? Vet has prescribed 1/4 tsp. But seems a lot for such a small dog. Anyone have info on this Thanks |
IBD is generally caused by food allergies. Has the vet put your dog on a prescription food yet? Mine has IBD and is on Royal Canin hypoallergenic small breed and loves it had has done amazing on it. |
Yes that's a lot!!! I give my little guy about 15mg 2x per day. I have a little scale I got from Amazon that measures those tiny amounts. At his worst, when he had a clostridium overgrowth, he was still only getting 50mg, which is not even close to 1/4 tsp. |
Tylan powder for IBD I don't own a scale to measure powder amount at this point So what does 15 mg look like? And do you sprinkle it over food? |
