Chicken Breast left out overnight Hello all it's been a while. I made some chicken breast for myself last night and put it in a plastic container and left it out on the counter to cool down before refrigerating and of course I forgot about it and put it in the refrigerator at 5:40 this morning and I cooked it around 5 pm so its been less than 12 hours. I know I can't eat it but is it safe for Beowulf to eat it? |
Put it in the garbage. Not safe for humans or animals. |

I have done that before when I cooked the girl's up some boiled chicken breast and left it out. It made me so mad to have to throw it away. |
Okay thanks guys! I know dogs stomachs can handle more bacteria but I don't want to risk it and google wasn't much help either. |

Any type of immuno-compromise in the dog will make them more susceptible to some kind of illness. I'm guessing our pampered Yorkies are not as immune as say a feral dog or a vulture, despite the bunny droppings and other gross things they might occasionally get into. :D |
Dogs also have a sensitive stomach when it comes to these stuffs. You will just put hole later on on your pocket through vet bills and medication when your dog will have an upset stomach. Glad you didn't give it. |
Refrigerators today, do not need the cool down period before placing hot foods in. Many dogs could eat it without a problem, however, if it did cause a problem it would probably be diarrhea, do you really want to chance it? |
