Goopy eyes Does anyone have a pain free way to get the caked goop out of the corner of the eyes?? thanks for any advise |
A a warm damp wash cloth works for me |
Usually all of it doesn't come out in a bath. We try the best we can, then after the bath, during drying time I will work the not thoroughly dampened eye goop out with my fingernails. That's the best way I've found. |
I use wet cotton balls to dampen the area and then comb through with flea comb with closely spaced teeth. Spa Fresh facial scrub is good for using in the bath. It's gentle on my boy's sensitive eyes, but cleans really well. |

thanks thank you all for taking the time to respond |
I either use a warm wet cloth or sometimes a disposable unscented eye wipe from the pet store if we are on the go. I try to wipe every day to prevent it caking on too much but sometimes I forget in which case a bath usually keeps the eyes fresh for a while. |

And then VERY gently use flee comb to remove the rest. If you Yorkie has lots of goop then check their teeth. I noticed that It accumulates when my girl's teeth has some tartar build up. |
I use a comb. Moistening does help it come out better, but it really gets on there good! If you keep up on it, it's a bit easier. |
Is it true that the food they eat has alot to do with it? |
