Concern About Weight Fluctuation? So my 3 month old little male Morkie (2.5lb) is having the weirdest thing happen to him, every time I take him out of his Playpen even if leaving him there for half an hour or so he becomes heavy and feels bloated. When I gently press his belly he doesn't whelp, nor does he cry or whine when hes in the Playpen, after about an hour or less his body becomes small again. I mean he literally feels like he put on another 3lbs within the hour, its really weird. I noticed this happening after switching him slowly over to 'Royal Canin for Yorkie Puppies' food as recommended by his Vet. I also read somewhere that as he grows things start to change with his body and all, not sure though, so I am wondering if its the food or something else? |

One moment he's heavy and then suddenly tiny again, I personally think that Royal Canin is using hormones in their food, obviously they wont say. I also don't want him growing into a 15lb dog because of stupid food hormones. |
To me, this sounds like bloating due to food/digestion. Royal Canin contains a *lot* of corn, and many dogs can't digest it well at all. So, I'd feed a higher protein diet, rather than a higher carb diet like Royal Canin is. |

I have the same issue than you, I find my dog too thin, but friends who have also had puppy yorkshire tell me that his weight is normal Just read lot of article for hours for find "the best food", but for exemple I found The Best Dog Food For Yorkies – Keeping Your Dog Healthy | Wealth For My Health, so yes it's an interesting article about what vitamin, amino acid or something in each food but to be honest I really don't know well about nutrition in general and I want the best for my love, I'm will be really happy if someone can tell me which is the best dog food, but of course natural food not with chemical products! Thanks in advance |
